Bouncing Morrie was seen in two episodes :)

Johny Bradbury is the one that springs into my mind. Were there many others? There were a lot of names thrown around during the first two Ray Daley series such as Dipso Pete, Smila & Chico but most of these made an appearance in the final series.

Clive the wine merchant from 'A Nice Little Wine' mentions a name to Arthur (which i forget),who will come to collect his money should the need arise.
I would like to have seen the man because the mere mention of his name was enough to put Terry quiet.
I can't think of another person who had the same effect on Tel'.

I think he was called Billy Gresham. I'd have been intrested to see him too. Any one who can make Terry say "I'm still breathin' ain't I. Can't ask for more" (or something like that any way) has to be one tough nut.

Another person we don't see is Johnny Cofter(?) in "Back in Good Old England" who sold Arthur the 500 pairs of flares.

Hi, folks.

If we include 'Series 11' (I call it that, anyway!), we do, of course, meet Dave's daughter - in the guise of Petra.

I'm sure, though, that she has a different surname (Dave's was given as Harris)?

Also, I could never pick up Shane's line in episode two, when The Winchester re-opened: he either said "Dave would be proud of you" or "Dave would've been proud of you" - the latter indicating that Dave has passed away...

The line was said fairly quickly (deliberately?), but can anyone tell me if the suggestion was that Dave is no longer
with us?

Yeah in the production notes of 'Brand New Minder' (series 11) it did confirm that the character of Dave had died. I'm not sure why Tim Loane (the writer of series 11) decided to kill off poor old Dave. I just think it was a reason for Petra to re-name her pub The Winchester. Also in the production notes, it said that Jamie had been in the army as well as being a boxer, but that was never mentioned in the series.

That's a real shame - poor old Dave.

I always hoped that , if we got a 'Series 12', we could've had a 90-minute special in which Archie visited his now retired, ex-pat Uncle Arthur in Marbella, where he and Dave ran a "typical English bar" called, of course, The Winchester!

Doesn't look like it will ever happen now, shame as Tim Loane was really looking forward to penning some more.

Personally, as I have met Glynn Edwards and I know he is a 101% really nice bloke and of course loves the fact he played Dave, I think Tim Loane should never have even contemplated killing Dave off! Therefore, I am happy that line of Archie's is a bit muffled so we still "don't really know".

:)

Meanwhile, back on topic, Frankie Farrow from "Dreamhouse" - mentioned all the way through, but we only ever see his Rolls Royce pulling away.

We also never saw D.S. Morley's wife, who was mentioned - and described be her loving spouse - in Series 8 episode in which Arthur "mislaid" Mrs. Daley.

Another one for the list is charlie mellors, rose mellors husband.
He is mentioned in two episodes that i can think of,i wonder what
charlie or his connections would have done to terry had they found
out about terry giving rose a serve.
