Jimmy Keller - Kickback (all right, he was a two-timing creep and let Bodie down, but what a bad@$$ he was and he even saved Bodie's life twice)

Stuart - Blackout (had some mouth on him, but did save Doyle in a shootout and joined the lads at the end for a drink)

Murphy (need I say more. His best episodes were FOTR and The Ojuka Situation)

Elizabeth Walsh (would have made for a much better Cowley companion than Annie)

Phillips - Purging Of CI5 (we should have seen more of this fella. Very witty and helpful)

Van Niekerk - Slush Fund (a nasty piece of work, true, but he was one of the most formidable and elusive villains on the show and instead of a shootout at the end, he should have had a fistfight with Bodie)

Another of those tricky questions...

1. Marge. Her sense of taste in clothes and furniture may be disputable but she has an infallible taste for men.
2. Sid Parker. He and Doyle formed such an ideal team and Doyle was truly upset over his death.
3. The unnamed law-abiding tramp in Stopover who told the lads off for trespassing and inquired if they had a license for their guns. He had only a small sequence but wow, what a smashing performance!
4. Mickey Hamilton. My favourite nutter may of course not be left out from this list.
5. Tin Can – very realistic and convincing. And even drugged up as he is he knows he can trust Doyle.
6. Which leaves only one to choose from those many, many characters. OK, in a belated attempt to achieve equality I'll take Marikka. Bodie even stands Doyle up for her twice, now there is something to brood over…

Actually hard to just pick six but here goes -

1. Tommy (Heroes - absolute legend)
2. Murphy (Great character with such potential)
3. Marge (BackTrack - she is a big reason why I rewatch BackTrack)
4. Jack Craine (Wild Justice - just like him and strong character - how I would think their trainers should be)
5. Phillips (Purging of CI5 - such a plucky confident little guy with classic lines)
6. Wesley (Heroes- the agent that throws Cowley to the ground when Cowley is checking up on his agents -
what a great CI5 agent in the making, and love that Cowley is happy about it !)
